 Acne is most commonly exacerbated during puberty due to the influence of androgens. However, many adults also suffer from overactive sebaceous glands and thus increased sebum production. This increased sebum flow not only makes the skin oily, but also narrows or clogs the sebaceous gland ducts (comedones), leading to congestion and the formation of blackheads (acne comedonica).
 
 
 The breakdown of sebum produces free fatty acids, which irritate the surrounding tissue and affect the natural pH balance of the skin's surface. This makes blemished skin particularly susceptible to bacterial infections – leading to pimples, nodules (papules), or pustules.
 
 
 The CBD face cream – for blemishes – is a natural combination of cannabidiol (CBD) from hemp and various time-tested plant extracts in a pleasantly light texture. Cannabidiol (CBD) has a wide range of uses. When applied to problem skin, it reduces skin reactions by stabilizing the skin's immune system.
 
 
 CBD shows particular potential for blemished skin, as it regulates the activity of the sebaceous glands and can thus address the underlying problem of oily, sensitive skin. Cannabidiol is also known for its regenerative properties.
 
 
 The serum contains a particularly high amount of activated cannabidiol ( 200 mg CBD) .
 
 The positive properties of CBD are supported by many natural, cosmetic active ingredients such as Aloe vera, Acnylis®, rosehip seed extract, dexpanthenol, Xymelis 45®, bisabolol, vitamin E, lavender oil and hyaluronic acid.
 
 
 CBD and the acylphloroglucinols from Acnylis® reduce the bacterial colonization of certain germs (Propionibacterium acnes), thus removing the basis for inflammation in pimples and blemishes.
 
 Bisabolol, an ingredient from chamomile essential oil, Ximenia bark extract (Xymelis 45®) and lavender oil have soothing and skin-calming properties.
 
 Aloe vera and hyaluronic acid provide moisture and, together with dexpanthenol, promote skin regeneration.
