We think that homemade hemp ice cream is the perfect refreshment not only on hot summer days with that certain something extra and a dessert for your guests that not everyone has and 🌿 purely natural, without chemicals or other additives.

You can even add chocolate chips, coconut flakes, fruit or nuts for even more enjoyment. The limit is endless. And…you don't need an ice cream maker!

Here is a very simple and quick recipe:

Preparation time: approx. 5 minutes and approx. 5 hours in the freezer

Homemade hemp ice cream - The ingredients: For about 6 to 8 people:

• approx. 50 grams of hemp protein

• 250 ml cream

• 250 ml milk (can also be replaced with mascarpone for a particularly creamy result)

• 4 ripe bananas

• 75 grams of sugar (or plant-based sugar substitute, such as birch or rice sugar)

• 3 tablespoons honey (our Tyrolean hemp blossom honey is also perfect)

• 1 pinch of salt

• Berries, fruit, nuts and peppermint as garnish

• If you like it crunchy and nutty, add peeled, roasted hemp seeds to the ice cream mixture.

Simply special in every variation...

But how do I prepare hemp ice cream without an ice cream maker?

Puree the ripe bananas until you get a mushy consistency. The riper the bananas, the sweeter the ice cream will be in the end. Overripe bananas are a great way to use them. They make the ice cream perfectly sweet.

Now mix the hemp protein powder with the pureed bananas and the remaining ingredients and add the sugar and honey. Mix everything well with a whisk! Pour everything into a cake tin or similar. Then put your ice cream mixture in the freezer for several hours.

It will be even more perfect if you take the time and stir the mixture again from time to time.

⏰ Et voilà: After about 5 hours the hemp flower ice cream is ready!
